Little Hands Big Dreams Foundation is rebuilding Nsude Primary School in Enugu State, Nigeria — a school of nearly eighty years serving more than 500 children. Everything a journalist, partner or supporter needs is on this page.

Our mission

Every child deserves a classroom that does not fail them

Little Hands Big Dreams Foundation exists to give the children of Nsude, and communities like it, a school worth walking to: a sound roof over their heads, a desk to write on, books in their hands, a meal in the middle of the day and a safe way home.

The foundation was started by a former pupil of Nsude Primary School who returned decades later and found the same crumbling classrooms he had learned to read in. He made the pupils a promise: whatever they want to become, he will help them become it. The rebuild is the first step in keeping it.

Our goals

What the $250,000 rebuild delivers

Rebuild the classroom blocks

Replace failed roofing, cracked walls and bare floors so no child learns under a leaking roof.

Furnish every classroom

Desks, chairs, boards, books and learning materials for more than 500 pupils.

Feed the children

A hot meal on every school day so hunger stops competing with learning.

Safe transport and uniforms

School buses for pupils walking long distances, plus uniforms and shoes.

Secure the compound

Perimeter fencing, gates and lighting so the school is safe day and night.

Support the teachers

Training and support for the teachers who kept this school alive with almost nothing.

Gifts are acknowledged by email and reported back to donors. A tax-deductible receipt will be issued upon IRS approval of our 501(c) status.
